From the Back Lot to the Auction Lot

Feel played?Remember that bullshit rationale we used back in the salad days when we were first prostituting our talents? It went something to the effect of “I’m not selling out, they’re buying in.” Well, I’ve finally graduated beyond that point in my career (the fact that I use the term “career” is telling) and am proud to announce that I’m now an auction item at the Sonoma Valley Film Festival’s Oscar gala event this coming Sunday. The lot, which opens at $10,000, includes my services as a poly-hyphenate cinemaven to realize the conception, production and distribution of a short film (proceeds go to the Sonoma Valley Film Society, which supports several local arts and education programs). Thanks to pal Kelly Kreglow for putting my head on the (chopping?) block.
