Classic pairings: Wine and cheese; heavy metal and screaming girls. Classic blends: Grenache and Mourvèdre; heavy metal and screaming girls. Okay, that last one may not be a classic yet, but all-girl AC/DC tribute band AC/Dshe will be. Currently on a highway to hell (en route to a venue near you) the band is led by singer Bonny Scott and guitarist Agnes Young (I suppose when Bonny bites it they’ll hire Brianna Johnson). And, of course, these chicks rock all the classic Bon Scott-era tracks. Founded in 1999, AC/Dshe claims on their website to be the first of the “girl tribute band phenomenon.” Hmm, phenomenon? Methinks the ladies doth protest too much. My trend-tracker troglodytes haven’t mentioned a girl tribute band phenomenon as such, but then they probably couldn’t see it passed the brims of their trucker hats.

Plus I've heard of at least three other Misfits all-girl tribute bands, several other AC/DCs, "The Ramonas," and a wonderful fantasy project called Turbonegra. This is actually part of a larger phenomenon of cross-gendered tribute bands, e.g. Mandonna. Oh, and how could I forget Princess?
