The Record Books of Christophe Gowans

I’m a sucker for media mash-ups, particularly when the medium is no longer the message (I sense that somewhere Woody Allen has Marshall McLuhan waiting in the wings to school me). Such is the case with a series by designer Christophe Gowans who’s collection of mock book covers inspired by hit albums handily redefines what “audiobook” might mean. I, for one, would love to “read” The Beatles’ Abbey Road, particularly the chapter entitled “She Came In Through the Bathroom Window,” which could probably stand as its own novella.
